EITS Server Management

What is the Service?


EITS Server Management services provides technical and operational support for servers that are hosted within the EITS data center(s). This service supports the sharing of server resources among multiple applications, databases, and customers. Support includes maintaining hardware and software for supported operating systems and platforms. In addition, it provides EITS enterprise cyber security services and protection for the servers.

Server Management: Significant Benefits!


EITS AHE Server Management provides significant advantages over the independent management of servers by individual customers by improving cost efficiencies and reducing resource overhead. Utilizing EITS server services facilitates the shared use of servers and labor as well as the leveraging of enterprise licensing and contracts.

What should you expect?


  • Manage and Resolve Security Vulnerabilities; Intrusion Detection Systems; Cisco Security Agent; RSA Security Agent (2 Factor); Infrastructure Certification and Accreditation
  • Standard Operating Systems include: UNIX-AIX, Windows NT, and OS-390
  • Server capacity upgrades in anticipation of need
  • Server refresh and associated infrastructure equipment in accordance with industry best practice

  • Low Percentage of requests refused
  • Large Number of connections per day per server and the number of simultaneous connections per server
  • Lower Time for back-up server to come online

  • Discontinue and remove systems that are obsolete
  • Implement a lifecycle approach to systems management
  • Utilize supported and standard software and tools.
  • Establish a life-cycle based protocol to support regular rrchival and purging activities
